Byron Bay markets don’t get much more authentic than this one, held on the first Sunday of each month in Byron Bay, plus two special summer markets on the third Sunday of December and January.
Byron Bay’s market is one of the largest in the Byron shire and one of the regular markets, with several acres of neatly-arranged stalls(370) selling a wide range of unique handcrafted items, exotic imports, fresh produce, and takeaway food. Plants, garden furniture, and sculpture coexist with high-quality jewellery, furniture, pottery, skin care products, candles, and clothing.
Due to construction at Butler St Reserve, the Community Market was recently relocated to a new temporary location. Dening Park, Main Beach Foreshore, Byron Bay is the new location.
Byron Farmers Market
Every Thursday from 7am to 11am, the area’s farmers and growers gather for one of the Shire’s most popular Byron Bay markets (02 6687 1137). Fresh fruits and vegetables, herbs, free-range eggs, organic coffee, seedlings and plants, fresh beef and pork, smoked fish, cut flowers, including spectacular roses, and sauces, pickles, muffins, cakes, and bread are all available. Arrive early because the goods sell out quickly.
